What You Need To Know About Replacing Your Supplies
Replacing Your Supplies

How often you can replace your supplies depends on your insurance provider. As a guideline, here is Medicare’s replacement schedule, which shows the maximum amount of supplies it will replace over a certain time period. Your insurance provider’s schedule maybe different.

Understanding your insurance coverage

The type of health insurance you have will determine how often you can replace your supplies under your plan. Contact your health insurance company to learn more about what your plan covers and how frequently you may be eligible for replacement supplies. You may also want to ask about co-payment requirements for your supplies.

Understanding the reimbursement process

In most cases, we will bill your insurance when you order new supplies. You are copied on the response from your insurance when we are paid. (This is usually called an “Explanation of Benefits.”) If applicable, you are responsible for your co-payment after meeting your annual deductible. We will also bill your secondary insurance, if applicable. Some items are considered “out-of-pocket” supplies. We will inform you about such items when we contact you about your supplies.
